The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025 Rajit Gupta from Kota, Rajasthan, who secured the All India Rank (AIR) 1 with an impressive score of 332 out of 360. 

A Journey of Determination and Balance

Rajit’s path to the top wasn’t marked by relentless study hours or rigid schedules. Instead, he adopted a balanced approach, studying when he felt most focused and ensuring he remained stress-free throughout his preparation. This strategy not only kept him motivated but also allowed him to perform at his best during the exams. 

His father, Deepak Gupta, expressed immense pride in his son’s achievement, noting that Rajit’s calm demeanor and confidence played a significant role in his success. Rajit’s mother also contributed to his preparation, offering guidance and support that proved invaluable.

A Historic Moment for Kota In JEE Advance

Kota, often referred to as India’s coaching hub, celebrated Rajit’s accomplishment with great enthusiasm. Not only did Rajit become the first local student to top the JEE Advanced from Kota, but the city also saw 42 of its students rank within the top 100. Institutes like Allen Career Institute, where Rajit studied, played a pivotal role in this success, highlighting Kota’s continued prominence in jee advance engineering exam preparations. 

The Competitive Landscape

The JEE Advanced 2025 was notably challenging, with a significant drop in cut-off scores compared to previous years. Out of 1.8 lakh candidates, only 54,378 qualified, including 9,404 women. The exam’s increased difficulty was attributed to a higher percentage of numerical value questions, which required precise answers without partial credit. 

In a close contest, Saksham Jindal from Haryana also scored 332 marks but was placed second due to tie-breaking criteria. The top 10 list featured students from various zones, reflecting the diverse talent pool across the country in jee advance. 

Leading Female Achiever

Among female candidates, Devdutta Majhi from the IIT Kharagpur zone emerged as the highest scorer, securing the 16th rank with 312 marks. Her achievement underscores the growing presence and excellence of women in engineering fields. 

Looking Ahead

With the results declared, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process is set to commence, guiding successful candidates through admissions into various IITs and other participating institutes. Rajit Gupta, aiming to pursue Computer Science at IIT Bombay, serves as an inspiration to aspirants nationwide, demonstrating that a balanced approach, self-confidence, and support from loved ones can lead to extraordinary achievements.
